Acton Massachusetts Amy Barber Yoga

Off the Mat:

Drawing, painting, and sculpture are always calling me. When i am not teaching, I am an artist. I have often found that meditative practices can be achieved in the arts. Not only do I enjoy creating, but also appreciating art history.

Amy Barber Painting

"The Watchful Teacher"

How can we move more efficiently in what we chose to do? What separates Amy from other instructors is that her unique insight helps break the cycle of "overthinking" that allows her students to achieve balance in their mind and body. Her classes are easy to understand, and anatomically cued. Combined with her own creative philosophical twist, Amy's classes are a blend of effort and ease. Her teachings can be applied to life off the mat.

I enjoy working with all levels of students, from the brand new, to an injured athlete, or advanced student. I enjoy teaching diverse classes, and I teach what I learn.

Amy has recieved her 200Hr Teacher Training with Mimi Louriero, and her 500Hr Teacher training with Rolf Gates. A big fan of continued education, she continues to study under Natasha Rizopoulos. She also attends conferences and workshops to keep her classes fresh, inspiring, and cutting edge.
