Master of Roots
Masterpiece of Roots.
I am rooted and a masterpiece.
I can be hung in a frame or stand alone on land.
In the ground I find strength.
I am rooted deep into the earth with each breathe.
The sunlight makes my leaves happy as I reach up.
If I were to be cut open, you could count the rings of my age, while each ring tells a story.
Each leaf is a chapter or page.
I am a work of art, a story teller, a dreamer.
I am powerful, mighty, yet so still, so still with each breathe.
My sound is universal in nature.
I can be flexible while the wind blows or disguise myself with layers of leaves or flowers, like garments hanging from my limbs.
Like life, I will ride the storms of rain, cold and of sun, hot.
Yet, I provide shelter for the curious cycles of life.
Shade from the sun, coverage from the rain, a warm nest.
Like the colors of the seasons, I do change, I grow.
We are here for a reason.
